History
APCER Life Sciences is part of the APC Group, a global provider of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) with an unblemished reputation for quality and support around the world.
APC was founded in 1987 in Hong Kong by APCER’s Chairman, Ravi Menon. The company grew rapidly by developing markets in India, China, and South East Asia for APIs and finished formulations produced by Western pharmaceutical manufacturers. Offices were added in Mumbai and Shanghai to satisfy the needs of both sellers and buyers.
As Asian manufacturers increased the quality of their products, APC Group was well positioned to provide APIs and finished formulations from India and China to the West and opened additional offices in Vietnam and Kazakhstan. APC also opened an office in Boston, MA, US, to provide regulatory, product selection, and consulting services to help its customers bridge the gap between China/India and the United States.
To respond to the increase in regulatory requirements around drug safety, APC expanded its services business with the formation of APCER Pharma Europe in 2007, headed by Dr. Vineet Kacker. The success of the business model and continued growth led to the establishment of APCER Pharma Solutions in the US. Today, these companies offer safety, medical, regulatory, and technology services around the world under the brand APCER Life Sciences.

Ravi Menon
Chairman of the Board
Ravi has been a business leader and entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 40 years. The foundation of APC Group, which grew to encompass formulations, nutrients, consulting and services under his leadership, began in 1987 when Ravi moved to Hong Kong to pursue opportunities in the global trading of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Ravi has a vast network of relationships and an unblemished reputation throughout the industry.
Gopal Menon
Vice-Chairman
Gopal has more than 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, financial markets, and strategic advisory roles with international banks. He was Managing Director at ING and head of Asia Financial Institutions. He has since become an entrepreneur and an adviser on strategy and finance.
Tejus Menon
Executive Director
Tejus provides corporate strategy, business development, marketing, and operations leadership and guidance to APCER. He has experience in diverse markets, with a focus on life sciences in North America, China, India, and Europe. Tejus began his career with the APC Group in Hong Kong, from there he relocated to the UK where he served as a Director and had Executive responsibilities for APCER Europe. In 2017, Tejus moved to the US to further expand his role within the organization. Currently, Tejus is responsible for overseeing the US operations, expanding APCER’s footprint in North America, and strategically aligning with APCER Europe and APCER India.
Vineet Kacker, PhD
Managing Director and Global Technical Head
Vineet is a founder of APCER and has been a Qualified Person/Person Responsible for Pharmacovigilance for more than18 years. He earned a PhD in Pharmacology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences and transitioned his career path from academia to private industry over 19 years ago. Vineet managed the regulatory and pharmacovigilance functions with several pharma companies prior to joining APCER. He serves as one of our QPPVs in his current function and has successfully enabled sponsor compliance through numerous FDA and MHRA inspections.
John Kiley
Director
John has led the sales and service functions of the pharmaceutical products operations of APC Group since 2008. He has extensive experience in chemical and pharmaceutical operations and product development. Working in the industry for over 30 years, he has a broad and tested network for both sales and support. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.
